We are announcing a new intiative at Saddleback called the 10x10 club. The 10 x 10 club will be fueled by 40 months of reaching out in love. During these months, beginning in September 2007 and concluding in December of 2010.
This is BIG! That's like 3 1/2 years of vision stuff.
Our goal is to baptize 10,000 in those 40 months - that's 57 people each and every week for 3 1/2 years. At 4 minutes a baptism we will keep our staff busy for 666 hours - yikes!
Also we are going to launch 10 new Saddleback locations - that's one every 4 months. So if you are a church meeting in a high school in O.C. - you might want to move. That will require recruiting and training 3,000 new ushers, sunday school teachers, AV teams, web guys, bulletin editors, chair folders, parking lot attendants and greeters.
We also want to create 10,000 new small groups - that's like 100,000 new people joining small groups! So that's 25oo people each month - which will set a new world record.
I know people say that "I solve problems by creating more vision" - so look for the 10x10 vision implementation plan coming in late 2008.
